In 1998 I was traveling home from a convention in Greensburg. I decided to take Rt 30 to Bedford as a shortcut to the turnpike. I knew nothing about the Lincoln Highway. I discovered that Rt.30 was no time saver, but it was a very enjoyable drive. And along the way I saw the Ship Hotel! I had seen it once on a TV documentary, but I didn’t recall where it was located. I stopped and took pictures, and sadly, that would be my only opportunity to see this interesting place.
